Independent by nature
We are small enough to notice the details: the table by the window, your usual order, the way a good breakfast can shift the whole morning.
Our Story
Little Hendrix Cafe grew from a simple idea: make the kind of Belgrave cafe where the coffee is serious, the food is generous and the room feels like it belongs to the people who use it.

History
Belgrave has its own tempo: early trains, misty mornings, weekend walkers, music posters, muddy shoes and long conversations after school drop-off. Little Hendrix Cafe was shaped to sit comfortably inside that rhythm.
The cafe is independent, warm and intentionally personal. We care about the first coffee of the day, the plate that lands in front of you, the music in the room and the feeling that nobody is being rushed out the door.
For locals searching for coffee in Belgrave, breakfast in Belgrave or a lunch stop before the Dandenong Ranges, the goal is simple: make it fresh, make it welcoming and make it worth coming back for.
Philosophy
We like high standards without the stiff collar. Little Hendrix is polished where it counts and relaxed where it matters.
We are small enough to notice the details: the table by the window, your usual order, the way a good breakfast can shift the whole morning.
Station commuters, mountain walkers, artists, families and neighbours all fold into the same room. That mix is the Little Hendrix pulse.
Our coffee is rich, balanced and consistent, built for both quick takeaway and slow conversations.
The menu is generous, seasonal and familiar in the best way, with enough polish to make an ordinary Tuesday feel considered.

Local Sourcing
Our kitchen favours Victorian produce, seasonal vegetables, proper sourdough and house-made elements wherever they make the plate better. It is not about fuss. It is about flavour, freshness and the comfort of knowing someone cared.
